An invitation to this meeting was distributed to nearby landowners during the week of February 17, 2025.
CBM would like to thank the neighbours and members of the Caledon community that attended the virtual information session for your participation and for your questions and comments. The intent of the meeting was to present an overview of the updates made to the application. We hope that we answered any questions that you may have at this stage and we look forward to continued dialogue with you as the licence application review process progresses. Frequently asked questions (FAQs) raised during the session will be addressed on the FAQ page on this website in the coming weeks. CBM will provide formal written responses to comments received on the application during the ARA comment period in Spring/Summer 2025.

CBM hosted a virtual public information session on Wednesday October 25, 2023 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm to support the public review period for the licence application for the project under the Aggregate Resources Act (ARA). CBM hosted the session via Teams Webinar.

CBM would like to thank the neighbours who attended the in-person meeting hosted by the Town on June 20, 2023. The intent of the meeting was to provide a summary of the Planning Act application that was submitted and to hear from the neighbours directly. CBM looks forward to continued constructive dialogue with the Town and neighbours as we work through the Planning Act and Aggregate Resources Act Licence process.

CBM hosted a virtual project update information session on December 1, 2021 with members of the public to provide an update on the proposed project. CBM hosted the meeting via GoToWebinar.
An invitation to this meeting was delivered via Canada Post Neighborhood Mail to over 2,000 addresses, and sent via email to members of the public whose email addresses are in the project's contact list. The invitation was also published on the project website, and emailed to other potentially interested parties.

CBM wishes to continue to keep the community informed about the project, and, as a result, we are hosting a virtual information session to provide an update to the community regarding the proposed project. Under normal circumstances, we would host an in-person information session to provide project updates and to answer questions you may have. However, due to restrictions related to COVID-19, we will be hosting a virtual session instead.

CBM hosted a series of virtual meetings with Indigenous communities, government officials and agencies, community interest groups, and members of the public in Q1 and Q2 2021 to provide an update on the proposed project.
As part of this series of virtual meetings, CBM hosted four meetings with members of the public in March and April 2021:
On March 9 and 11, 2021, CBM hosted three meetings via Microsoft Teams with neighbours living closest to the proposed project site. An invitation to these meetings was hand delivered (dropped off in mailboxes) and sent via email to near neighbours whose email addresses are in the project's contact list.
On April 7, 2021, CBM hosted a fourth meeting via GoToWebinar with the greater Caledon community. An invitation to this meeting was delivered via Canada Post Neighbourhood Mail to approximately 2,000 addresses, and sent via email to members of the public whose email addresses are in the project's contact list. The invitation was also published in the project website, and emailed to other potentially interested parties.

CBM is in the process of preparing a frequently asked questions (FAQs) document that provides answers to FAQs raised during the virtual public meetings and other consultation completed for the proposed project to date. The FAQ document will be posted on the project website (here) in the coming weeks, once completed.
As noted during the virtual public meetings, the proposed project is still at the very early stages and consultation with Indigenous communities, government officials and agencies, community interest groups, and members of the public will continue. As part of ongoing consultation for the project, CBM will host another series of meetings in the near future. The format of these meetings will be determined by the COVID-19 pandemic and the restrictions on public gatherings set out by government and public health officials at the time. Information about these future meetings will be available on the project website and invitations will be distributed using similar methods from previous meetings (e.g., mail, email).

Due to the rapidly developing situation with coronavirus (COVID-19), and in the interest of public safety, we have decided to postpone the public information session planned for March 25, 2020. This decision has been made based on guidance provided by the World Health Organization and the Public Health Agency of Canada regarding mass gatherings and public events. One of CBM’s main priorities includes the health and safety of the community and our staff, so we feel that postponing the event is the responsible decision at this time. We will be looking to reschedule the public meeting in the future, at a time when it is safe to do so in consideration of future information released by the Public Health Agency of Canada, and all stakeholders will be informed of the new date accordingly.
